In honour of International Women’s Day (March 8th, 2021), the SWAN India Alliance partnered with Safe Water Network for an event focused on Smart Water Management in India and the intersection of women, data, and technology. The event featured leading women professionals who shared their insights across the water value chain. View the recording (on the right) and presentation slides (below).
On Feb. 18th, 2021, SWAN-WIPAC held a joint, Virtual Workshop, “Overcoming Pollution – From Monitoring to Solutions” sponsored by Siemens. The Workshop attracted over 400 people and featured a keynote by Phillip Dunne, UK Member of Parliament, expert panels and interactive roundtable discussions. On November 12, 2019, SWAN and Water UK hosted a half-day Workshop in London, with the theme of “Big Data beats Beast from the East.” The event brought together experts in the field of data science as well as professionals from the water industry, to explore how the sector can better utilise information and data to predict, prepare and report on extreme weather events. From 5-8 November 2019, the SWAN Forum proudly partnered with Aquatech Amsterdam on a number of smart water programmes, including the 1st Workshop of the SWAN European Utility Alliance, 2nd Workshop of the SWAN Digital Twin H2O Work Group, and an exciting SWAN Pavilion featuring two, well-attended content sessions.
On November 21, 2018, SWAN hosted a half-day workshop at the WWEM Conference in Telford, UK focusing on “Accelerating a Smart, Resilient Water Future.” The workshop highlighted the future of water and IT, featuring UK utility pioneers embracing a digital transformation. In October 17, 2018, SWAN hosted a half-day workshop in collaboration with IWA and H2O Fair on “Streamlining Digital Transformation.” The workshop brought together utilities and global solution providers on panels covering topics including digital solutions and resiliency.
In October 20, 2016, the SWAN Forum hosted a workshop on “Achieving Data Integration and Resilience Planning” at the WaterIDEAS Conference in Bologna. The workshop focused on the role of water in the development of the smart city.
